It used to be the Midlands - Coventry and Birmingham especially. Used to be a huge plant at Longbridge in Birmingham, which has mostly been demolished (the car plant, I mean, not Birmingham).
There's little or no actual UK car industry any more; we mostly make cars for other people. I think even Rolls Royce has been bought by one of the German companies, hasn't it?



Where's the big car making regions in England? I grew up in a big GM town right near Detroit, the auto industry is dear to my heart due to my up bringing.
